At ASRI, we strive to innovate and manufacture rubber products meeting customer specifications and applications. ASRI supplies its products to some of the finest OEMs and exports globally in compliance with REACH&ROHS requirements. We have vast experience in formulating rubber compounds to meet critical specifications. Our Compounding, Molding, and R&D facilities serve both Auto and Non-Auto Applications.

Important Milestones
1966
ASRI started as Auto Steel Industries at Bhosari Industrial Estate, Poona. We had a small machine shop with 2 rubber pressers when India was at its early industrial stages. There were not many rubber manufacturing units then, so the machine shop started growing gradually.
1995
In 1995 ASRI was converted into a Private Limited Company. ASRI was now a prominent user of new polymers and elastomers entering the market. By then, ASRI had become a large supplier to the Automotive, Mining, and Diesel engine industries.
2000
Until 2000, ASRI had already developed over 15000 import substitution rubber products. The supply of rubber and silicone hoses had grown and we were supplying OEM businesses with over 700 products and 100 invoices a day.
2003
ASRI started exporting in 2001, adding an extra focus to supply globally. ASRI was the recipient of the prestigious MCCIA – Tata Honeywell Quality Award for the year 2002. Shore Auto Rubber Exports Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated in 2003 to hive off the hose business from ASRI.
2006
Mr Keswani was behind the idea of the Auto cluster Laboratory in Pimpri Chinchwad. Auto Cluster is a first of its kind industrial cluster which was established in Chinchwad in the year 2006-07 and has served more than 2000 MSMEs in and around Pune.
2016
ASRI was certified with ISO 9001 and thereby qualified for QS 9001. In addition, we were amongst the first companies to receive the TS 16949 certificate.

Daulat Tarachand Keswani
Founder
Mr D. T. Keswani, affectionately called DTK during his professional experience, founded Auto Steel Industries, in 1966. DTK has completed his Mechanical Engineering with Honours and Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism. DTK was one of the founders of the Bhosari Manufacturers’ Association which later became ‘Pimpri-Chinchwad Manufacturers’ Association. He was the President of both these bodies for over 5 years each. Additionally, DTK was the founding Chairman of the Pune Chapter of AIRA. He started another trend of a periodical Rubber Chemists' meet which became very successful since all the industrialists could get their technical problems resolved in one sitting. DTK was also associated with the All India Rubber Industries Association. Being the first man in the business, DTK leads by example and continues to create history. Currently, he is on the panel of experts for helping industrialists solve their technical issues.
Nikhil Gupta
CEO
Nikhil is the CEO of Autosteel and Rubber Industries Pvt Ltd, along with the board, he is involved in the formulation of Corporate Strategy and Management. Spearheading the growth and diversification plans of the company along with his Team, he also oversees day-to-day functioning of the Operations spread over multiple locations. Nikhil brings to the table his never say die attitude along with his vast experience of working in Africa with conglomerates both in the Manufacturing and Service Industries. A keen Grand Prix and Aviation enthusiast, he is also known to test and push limits to achieve Operational and Commercial excellence.
Infrastructure
At ASRI, we have about 35000 sq. ft. facility encompassing our Sales and Dispatch Offices, Quality Assurance and Inspection, Final Batching, Molding, and special process divisions. With platen sizes varying from 250 mm to 1000 mm, our Molding capabilities range from Injection, Compression, Transfer compression, and Vacuum (Chamber) compression which is supported by various sizes of kneaders and Open mixing mills to compound and formulates various elastomers to meet customers demanding applications. Universal Testing Machines (UTMs) and Oscillating Disc Rheometer (ODRs) are available to ensure that the rubber products are according to the required standards and fit for purpose. All our products are manufactured and supplied under strict quality control measures and traceability.
